So, Draft #2 is done! Damn, that was a tough one! Wow. I feel really accomplished. 😀 Man, it reads so nice. I mean, to me, lol. Who knows how it really reads, lol. I’ve read it so many times, I don’t even know anymore. O_o? I finished it in a week I believe. The first part of the book was rough. The middle was pretty solid. The ending was a little eh. But now it’s done. And I think it’s great.
So! I just emailed it to my brilliant Critique Partner. So it’s his turn to read it. He’s a pretty busy guy, though, so I don’t know how long it’s going to take him. It’s not a long book, ending at only 62,600 words, so hopefully won’t take him long. He read Behind the Chimera and that was 133,000 words I believe. Once he gets this done, I’ll again make any edits he recommends, and then I’ll contact the real deal editor and book a time, probably in the next couple of months. I believe he won’t be available until February of next year (2017).
Then, we will see what happens. I did write up a query letter. I want to try to whip up another one in the meantime so he has a few to work with. I have lots of time, but those things are not easy to write. And in the interim, I will also start work on my new project, which I will post about when I have more details, but I think it’s going to be some kind of romance… xD
Well, now that the book is out of my hands, it’s time to step out into the light! *_*
